Description
Industrial-grade high-performance engineering plastic – Excellent wear resistance, high impact strength, self-lubricating, non-stick – Solve equipment wear and material bridging problems
UHMWPE sheet is a high-performance engineering plastic made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene resin (molecular weight ≥ 1.5 million) through high-temperature, high-pressure compression molding. With outstanding wear resistance, impact strength, self-lubrication, and chemical resistance, it has become a superior alternative to carbon steel, stainless steel, nylon, PTFE, and other traditional materials. It is widely used in mining, metallurgy, chemical industry, food machinery, papermaking, ports, and many other fields.
Our product strictly complies with GB/T 40169-2021 “Plastic – Compression-moulded sheets of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (PE-UHMW) and high-density polyethylene (PE-HD)” , ensuring stable and reliable quality.
UHMWPE offers the best wear resistance among all plastics – 4 times higher than nylon 66 and PTFE, and 6–8 times higher than ordinary carbon steel. Even in harsh conditions such as water-sand slurries or high-abrasive environments, it maintains extremely low wear loss, significantly extending maintenance intervals and reducing replacement frequency.
Analogy: Think of running shoes vs. hiking boots. Ordinary plastic wears out in 3 months – our UHMWPE sheet stays strong for 2 years.
Impact strength ranks among the highest of all engineering plastics – 2 times that of impact-resistant PC, 5 times that of ABS, and more than 10 times that of POM. Even at liquid nitrogen temperature (-196°C), it remains ductile and does not crack under strong impact. Ideal for low-temperature construction in northern winters or cold storage applications.
Analogy: Like a riot shield made of polycarbonate, extremely impact-resistant. Our UHMWPE sheet is even twice as tough as that shield, staying strong in polar cold.
Coefficient of friction is extremely low (0.05–0.11). Self-lubricating properties are second only to PTFE under unlubricated conditions. In sliding or rotating applications, it outperforms steel and brass with added lubricants. The smooth, non-stick surface prevents material buildup and bridging when used as a liner for hoppers and chutes.
Analogy: As smooth as gliding on ice. Use it as a liner for hoppers – wet coal powder or sticky clay will flow freely without caking.
Resists almost all acids, alkalis, and salt solutions except concentrated sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid, and a few organic solvents. Chemically stable. Whether in acidic chemical plants or salty coastal ports, it performs reliably over long periods.
Completely non-toxic and odorless, meeting food-grade safety standards. Safe for use in food machinery, beverage filling lines, pharmaceutical equipment, and other sanitary applications.
Can be used over a wide temperature range from -269°C to +100°C. Especially suitable for frozen food conveying, liquid nitrogen environments, and other ultra-low temperature conditions – no embrittlement or cracking.
Water absorption is only 0.01% – virtually non-absorbent. Even in humid environments, the sheet does not swell or deform, ensuring long-term dimensional stability.
Specific gravity is only 1/8 that of steel, greatly reducing equipment load. Easy to handle and install, lowering construction difficulty and labor costs.
