Copper is a tough, soft, malleable purple-red and shiny metal. It is copper containing a certain amount of oxygen, so it is also called oxygen-containing copper. Red copper is industrial pure copper with a melting point of 1083°C, no allotropic transformation, and a relative density of 8.9, which is five times that of magnesium. The mass of the same volume is about 15% heavier than ordinary steel. Copper has good weldability, and can be made into various semi-finished and finished products through cold and thermoplastic processing.
Copper-nickel alloys, also known as Cu-Ni (10 to 30 % nickel), offer excellent corrosion resistance, especially in marine saltwater environments.
The chemical composition of alloys Navinic 10 and Navinic 30 has been optimized in collaboration with our customers in order to maximize the behavior of the metal under the most stringent conditions of seawater corrosion.
Additionally, Navinic 10 and Navinic 30 meet all requirements of most international standards.
Standards for Navinic 10 : NFA 51 - 102, DIN 17664 2.0872, DIN 86019 2.1972, EEMUA 144 UNS 7060X, BS 2871 CN 102,
NES 779, MIL-T-16420K C70600, ASTM B466 C70600, JIS H 3300 C7060.
Standards for Navinic 30 : NFA 51-102, DIN 17664 2.0882, BS 2871 CN 107, DGS 320, NES 780, MIL-T-16420K C71500,
ASTM B 466 C71500, JIS H 3300 C7150.
Lebronze alloys has an extensive range of Copper Nickel materials and components designed for the Marine, Oil & Gas and Defense challenging environments (seawater corrosion in topsides, ships and submarines)
C70620 is a specific alphanumeric designation often used in the metal industry, particularly for specifying a type of brass rod or copper rod. Here's a brief introduction:
C70: This prefix typically refers to a specific brass alloy, with "C" standing for "Copper" and "70" indicating that the alloy contains around 70% copper. Brass alloys are copper-based alloys that also contain zinc, with varying percentages for different grades. C70620 suggests a relatively high copper content, which could make it suitable for applications where corrosion resistance or machinability are important.
620: The number "620" following the C70 is likely a proprietary or manufacturer-specific designation. It could indicate a specific grade within the C70 series, with variations in properties like hardness, purity, or mechanical characteristics. This number might also relate to the manufacturing process, heat treatment, or other manufacturing details.
Brass Rod: A brass rod is a long, cylindrical piece of metal made from brass, used for various applications such as mechanical parts, electrical connectors, or plumbing. The C70620 brass rod would be expected to have similar properties to the C70 alloy, but with the additional precision and uniformity that comes with being in rod form.
Copper Rod: If the number "620" is not related to the brass alloy, it could be a separate code for a copper rod, possibly with similar customization or manufacturing details.
To get a more accurate description, it's best to consult the manufacturer's specifications or data sheet for the exact properties and intended uses of C70620 brass or copper rods.
